Greenstone 2.73 release notes:

The Windows, GNU/Linux, Mac OS/X and Source distributions of Greenstone v2.73
are now available for download from our sourceforge page:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/greenstone, or via http://www.greenstone.org

This is an unstable release -- it does contain many bug fixes and other minor
improvements.

Important changes in this release include, in no particular order:

Feature:
------------

- New feature: the Realistic book
 A set of realistic books demo collections can be found at: http://www.nzdl.org/books/

Classifier
---------

- New RecentDocumentsList classifer for classifying documents based on the lastmodified
 metadata.

Plugins:
----------

- New CONENTdmPlug plugin for collections in the CONTENTdm digital library
- New option for GenericList: partition_name_length, many thanks to Jens Wille.
 New option for GenericList: sort_using_unicode_collation, which uses the
 Unicode::Collate module to sort Unicode values better (eg. e with  acute
 is sorted with the other e values, not after everything else).
- New option to HTMLPlug (tidy_html) - if set, will use  HTMLTidy to tidy
 up the HTML to XHTML. This is needed if you want to use the realistic
 book feature - Veronica.


GLI:
------

- A skimfile argument is added to control the skimming of metadata.xml files
 while openning a collection in gli
- The second half of speeding up metadata access and editing substantially
 (particularly when metadata.xml files are large) by caching one metadata.xml
 file in memory. The loaded metadata.xml file is no longer written to disk
 every time a piece of metadata is added/edited, but only when a new metadata.xml
 file is loaded.
- Fixes to Remote collection building. All requests to gliserver.pl now include
 a timestamp as the "ts" argument. Remote building now supports profile.xml
 files for mapping metadata. The Unzip class now writes any exception messages
 to System.out and returns a non-zero value, so the error messages are displayed
 in the GLI client/applet. Added remote Greenstone support for the "Rename"
 option when right-clicking on a collection file.
